Willow Tree House is a dedicated psychology practice supporting children, adolescents, and young people (ages 5–25). We provide a safe and nurturing space where young people can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.
Our services include evidence-based therapy for anxiety, mood challenges, school-related difficulties (school avoidance, bullying), grief, parental separation, ADHD, and more.
We also offer cognitive and academic assessments and school workshops. Please ask at reception for more information.

We are registered psychologists with over six years of university training. Medicare rebates and other funding streams are available for eligible clients, making psychology an affordable option for quality mental health care.
A thorough first session for children, young people, or caregivers to assess psychological needs. It includes a full clinical history, discussion of concerns, key support areas, and an initial therapy plan.
Sessions may involve one-on-one time, caregiver input, and goal-setting.

We provide tailored therapeutic support for children, adolescents, and young adults (5–25), for emotional regulation, anxiety, OCD, trichotillomania, school avoidance, low self-esteem, phobias, parental separation, confidence, and resilience.
Our safe, supportive space offers evidence-based strategies and collaborative goal-setting, with caregiver involvement as needed.

We offer tailored mental health workshops for Grade 3 to Grade 9 students, led by a registered psychologist, to support wellbeing, resilience, and personal growth.
Covering topics like mental health awareness, friendships, self-esteem, bullying prevention, and stress management, workshops are customised to your student’s needs.
Available across Geelong, sessions can be delivered in classrooms, small groups, or assemblies. Get in touch to learn more!

✔ No referral required – Clients can book directly without seeing a GP
✔ No session limits – Unlike Medicare, there are no restrictions on the number of sessions per year
✔ Flexible support – Suitable for individuals who may not meet Medicare criteria but still want professional help
Clients can access Medicare rebates through a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) provided by a GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician. This covers:
✔ Up to 10 sessions per calendar year (with a review after the first 6 sessions)
✔ Rebate amount: Around $96.65 (General Psychologist) or $141.85 (Clinical Psychologist) per session
✔ A valid referral is required
✔ Many private health funds offer psychology extras cover
✔ Rebates vary depending on the policy and provider
✔ Cannot be used in conjunction with Medicare rebates
We accept self-managed NDIS clients.
✔ Individuals with self-managed NDIS funding may use their plan for psychological therapy
✔ Must be related to the participant’s NDIS goals
Each funding option has specific eligibility criteria, so it’s best for clients to check with their GP, insurer, or funding provider to determine what applies to their situation.
Director & founder of Willow Tree House, Elizabeth Mandich is a Registered Psychologist & Clinical Registrar with over six years of experience working with children, young people, and their families.
Before moving into private practice, Elizabeth gained valuable experience working in community health, regional schools delivering tailored mental health programs, and not-for-profit organisations, which provided her with a broad foundation in youth mental health.
Holding a Master of Clinical Psychology, Elizabeth has worked extensively with young people facing challenges such as anxiety, OCD, body-focussed repetitive behaviours (e.g.,trichotillomania), specific phobias, school avoidance, relational aggression, parental separation, and grief. Her time in private practice, headspace, and crisis support has shaped her warm, compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy.
A mother of two, Elizabeth lives on the Bellarine Peninsula, where she enjoys camping, body-boarding, baking, animals, loungeroom dance parties and gardening with her little family! She is committed to creating a safe, supportive space at Willow Tree House where children and young people feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.

We adhere to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), and the Victorian Child Safe Standards to ensure the highest level of care and compliance with legal and ethical obligations.
1. Collection of Personal Information
• We collect personal and health information necessary for providing psychological services, including:Client’s name, date of birth, and contact details
• Medical history and relevant psychological information
• Family and school-related background where relevant
• Session notes, assessments, and treatment plans
This information is collected directly from clients, parents, caregivers, or referring professionals (with consent).
2. Use & Storage of Personal Information
Personal information is used for:
• Providing psychological assessment and therapy
• Coordinating care with relevant professionals (with consent)
• Meeting legal and ethical reporting requirements
All records are securely stored in electronic case management systems compliant with Australian privacy laws. Access is restricted to authorized professionals only.
3. Confidentiality & Disclosure
Psychological sessions are strictly confidential, except where disclosure is required by law, including:
• If there is a risk of harm to the client or others
• If there is suspected child abuse, neglect, or harm (as per mandatory reporting laws
• If records are subpoenaed by a court
Where possible, we will discuss any required disclosures with the client (and caregivers, if appropriate) before taking action.
4. Working with Children & Adolescents
For clients under 18, confidentiality is balanced with parental involvement in accordance with:
• The client’s age, maturity, and ability to provide informed consent
• The importance of building trust in the therapeutic relationship
• Legal obligations to report safety concerns
Where appropriate, young people may consent to aspects of their care remaining private from parents/caregivers. However, we encourage open communication within families where possible.
5. Child Safe Standards
Willow Tree House is committed to the Victorian Child Safe Standards, ensuring:
• A safe and welcoming environment for all children and young people
• A zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, harm, or discrimination
• Staff training in child safety, mandatory reporting, and ethical practice
• Culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
6. Accessing & Updating Information
• Clients (or their legal guardians) have the right to:
• Access their personal information (with some legal exceptions)
• Request corrections if information is inaccurate
